This work, inspired by a bridal doily from the Ionian Islands, is an ode to the art of embroidery. Each symbol of the original embroidery is re-embroidered and digitally colored to evoke the aesthetics of early video games, encouraging the audience to “level up”. In this way, life is likened to a game where progressing to the next level is essential for the evolution of every living being.
